JustWatch - Movies & TV Shows

The app is helpful to figure out who streams content I want to watch. Ratings are helpful. Suggestions are mixed, some relevant and others not so much. The big downer is the stuttering when scrolling through my watchlist or other lists once I scrolled down quite a bit. It happens every time and on different newer iPhone models including Pro and Plus models. A second annoyance is that I can‘t escape from a trailer full screen view, especially in landscape mode. Only way out is to kill the app. I run every update hoping for a fix, but the issue persists and speaks for poor execution and quality control. Very sad for an otherwise good service.

I’ve been using JustWatch for years, coming from the Letterboxd widget where it reliably shows the title’s availability. I’ve been on a personal mission to watch some classics from before the 70s, and international cinema. The JustWatch app is even more useful in that matter, and I love to watch some old classics from the 1920s and 30s on JustWatchTV for free. Thank you!!

Tried many apps to see the various offers of streaming platforms and digital movie platforms. But only JustWatch managed to convince me. Mainly because it shows catalogs across countries. Filters give reasonable options. Watchlist, TV Show tracking and custom lists are a great addition as well. If I'd need to suggest improvements, I'd say: make the app a little more responsive and "fun" to use e.g. play a small animation, when marking movies as watched. Also, maybe some option to customize my home tab. I am rarely on thr home tab, as I feel it does not provide meaningful recommendations. Overall i am a happy Pro user since years now!
