Void Tyrant

This game has a quirky character and a simple style it is very easy to pick up. It took a little while to understand some of the mechanics and i encourage people to risk a run to try new things. each run will slowly build up enough rewards to make it easier and more interesting to go back to again and again

This is one of the most ingenious, original games on the App Store, and I would love to give it five stars, but I can’t get past the menu anymore. I’m on iPad Pro (2019), fully updated. It’s been a couple of years since I played, but I opened this up again today, and it froze on the menu screen where it asks if I’d like to start a new game or continue. The screen dimmed, like there should be a pop-up window, but there was nothing; just a dimmed menu, and I couldn’t interact with it. Please fix this and get five stars!

Updated Review Game is sluggish and freezes. Shame. Freezes every time I play. Unplayable. Original Review Over all fun and enjoyable. Could use some QoL improvements tho. At the end of a run there's no option to skip scoring, please add an option skip to the end of the total score. Option for faster battle animations, or to skip all together, especially since it's a grinding type game. Fun at first. Battles quickly become drawn out.

At first I was just downloading a bunch of “card-like” games out of boredom one day when I stumbled across this one. Sure there’s ads when you play the free version, but in all honesty there’s WAY worse, longer, and more frequent ads on other free games than this. These are spaced out and skippable. On top of that, this isn’t one of those “freemium” types where you have to pay to play. You can advance as far as you want without paying a single cent. At first I couldn’t even believe it was free, and after playing it for a week without paying anything, I upgraded to the paid version just to support the developers. 10/10 mobile game. I love it.

I’ve been looking for a game like this to sit down and either play for a two minute session or a two hour session and anything in between as well. Void tyrant is that game. Whether you decide to pay the five dollars for the ad free experience or just go in with the simple ads that aren’t even that necessary, this is an incredible experience that can be fully enjoyed without spending a penny. personally, I paid the five dollars for the full ad free experience because this is the only game that I need. No need for any subscriptions or recurring payments. Just the joy of this game and playing it through for hours and hours and years and years ahead.

To start off, I just need to say EVERY NEGATIVE REVIEW IS WRONG. they all state the same stupid reasons about the game being “too hard” which is hilarious, since it shows they just don’t understand how to play. It also shows that there are basically no good critiques of the game aside from it being “too hard.” For people thinking it’s too hard, I find it to be the charm of the game. After having played a lot, I can beat it confidently 50% of the time on the hardest difficulty on any of the starting builds. Yes, sometimes you get ruined by RNG, but if you can’t beat the default difficulty you clearly just don’t have an understanding for the mechanics of the game, which leads to all those one star reviews. I adore this game but wished there was more endgame content, it’s become too easy to win now and if anything I want MORE challenges. Amazing game.
