BookPlayer

The quite expensive premium is a scam - nothing that is promised in Premium really works, especially not the watch App that was important to me. Just asked Apple for my Money back.

This app allows you to import your own audio book files (m4b and plenty of other formats) that you purchased elsewhere. It comes with support for chapters, gives you customizable seek-back and -forward controls (e.g. 10 seconds), and allows you to set a sleep timer. You can precisely control the playback speed (not just predefined values). Of course, it remembers where you left off the last time you were listening to your book. It‘s even got this feature of jumping back a second when you hit Play. Dark mode is supported. It‘s got everything you need. Thank you so much for creating this app.

It would be great if it could create automatically an bookmark for every point where I started playback. It happens often that I fall asleep and take very long to find the last position. The last playback start point would help here a lot. There is the function with automatic bookmarks but somehow it doesn’t work. There is often just the last playback timestamp (which has overwritten the previous one for which I‘m actually looking) or none.
