Standard Notes

The option to host the server myself is amazing. It has great documentation to do it yourself as long as you are a bit tech-savvy. The functionality id better then all other note apps i have used. And way better then apple notes, as i am not locked in by it! Thank you to the developers!

I switched to Standard Notes because I wanted something more private and less tied to one ecosystem than Apple Notes. The app is simple, clean, and does what I need without getting in the way. What I like most is the focus on encryption and the option to self-host, which gives me more control over my notes and where my data lives. Apple Notes is very convenient, but Standard Notes feels like the better choice if privacy and independence matter to you.
